TOXIC BABY FORMULA

OVERVIEW

Infant formulas containing cow milk-based ingredients significantly increases premature babies’ risk for severe intestinal damage known as Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC). Most infants survive the disease with serious, long-term injuries, but in more severe cases, infants may lose their life. No one should have to fear for the safety of their newborn because of a baby formula product. We can hold the negligent baby formula manufacturers accountable for their injustice.

What is Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC)?

Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is a gastrointestinal bacterial infection in premature infants. NEC causes inflammation of the intestinal lining, leading to tissue death in the intestinal wall and severe conditions. In such cases, the inflamed intestinal wall is eroded, allowing bacteria to enter the intestinal tract and jeopardize the infant's health.

What are the Symptoms of NEC?

Stomach bloating or swelling
